January: Creation

Lesson 1: Who Is God

Teach children that God is the one true Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Help them understand that God is all-powerful, perfect, and personal, wanting a relationship with each of us.

Reinforce that God’s love and presence are real and tangible in their lives.

Lesson 2: God Made Everything

As we study the creation of the world, some of the key points we will learn are:

God created all life.

God is in charge of all life.

God is powerful and spoke the world into existence.

We should love and honor God

Lesson 3: Humanity

Help children understand that God created them uniquely and purposefully.

Teach that humans are the most wonderful part of God's creation.

Instill confidence in God's love and purpose for each child.
February: Love

Lesson 1: Losing count
-
To teach children the importance of forgiving others as Jesus forgives us.
-
To help children understand that forgiveness is a continual choice, not a one-time event.
-
To connect the parable to the Gospel and Jesus’ ultimate act of forgiveness on the cross.

Lesson 2: True Love is Patient
-
This lesson helps children understand that true love is patient, just like God is patient with us.

Lesson 3: Father's Love
-
Teach children about God’s unconditional love through the story of the Prodigal Son.

Help children understand forgiveness and grace.

Highlight the importance of family and returning to God when we make mistakes.

Lesson 4: Love One Another

Students will understand how to love one another through actions and words.

Students will learn practical ways to show love and kindness to others.

Lesson 1: Faith in Public Space
By the end of this lesson, children will:

Understand that God wants us to honor Him, even when others do not.

Children will understand that Jesus shared a special meal with His disciples to show His love and to remind them (and us) of His sacrifice

Children will learn about Christ's death and understand His death's purpose.

Lesson 4: Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead​

Children will understand that Jesus has power over life and death and that His love for us is so great that He can do amazing things, including raising Lazarus from the dead.
